Report: Carroll hands in resignation at USC

Pete Carroll has done almost everything he could at USC. This move might be a surprise to many but with how much he has done at USC, it’s not surprising Carroll would want to move on from USC. Carroll has proven what he is capable of at the College Football level and this marks an opportunity to achieve the success he wanted in the NFL.

Carroll previously has coached the New England Patriots and the New York Jets in the NFL and has a career record of 33-31. Compared to most coaches that have made the jump from college to the NFL, Carroll has a record that is above .500 and seems to understand how to win in NFL. The move makes sense as Carroll could always go back to the college ranks if the Seahawks job does not pan out.
